IMPORTANT: ADMISSION TO HIGHER EDUCATION IN LITHUANIA

On July 24, the first cycle of centralised admission to short-cycle, first-cycle and integrated higher education studies in Lithuanian Higher Education Institutions concludes. The second cycle of admission will last until the second half of August.

What should you know before applying if you received your foreign secondary education overseas and want to pursue higher education?

 

To enroll in self-financed studies, you must:

 

  1. Apply for admission via the LAMA BPO website (https://lamabpo.lt/en).
  2. Apply for academic recognition to the selected Higher Education Institution that has the right to perform academic recognition (you can find a list of such higher education institutions at: https://skvc.lrv.lt/lt/veiklos-sritys/kvalifikaciju-pripazinimas/pripazinimo-sistema-lietuvoje/; if the chosen Higher Education Institution is not authorized to perform academic recognition, then you need to apply for academic recognition to the Study Quality Assessment Center: https://epe.skvc.lt/en/ .
  3. Apply for grade transfer at the chosen Higher Education Institution.

 

 

To enroll in state-funded studies, you must:

  1. Apply for admission via the LAMA BPO website (https://lamabpo.lt/en).
  2. Apply for academic recognition or to a higher education institution with the authority to do so (a list of such institutions can be found at: https://skvc.lrv.lt/en/qualification-recognition/recognition-in-lithuania/ , or to the Study Quality Assessment Center: https://epe.skvc.lt/en/ ). 
  3. Submit an application for academic recognition to the Study Quality Assessment Center at https://epe.skvc.lt/en/ .
  4. Apply for grade transfer to the Study Quality Assessment Center at https://epe.skvc.lt/en/ . Grades will only be transferred if the foreign qualification has been recognized.
  5. Send both documentas regarding academic recognition and grades transfer to LAMA BPO.
